Iโve been using a fountain that has a plastic reservoir but stainless top where my cat drinks from and itโs done well for about a year but now the plastic is getting a lot of micro scratches causing it to grow biofilm very fast. I tossed it out yesterday because itโs only been about 2 days since I deep cleaned it and it was already smelling like rotting garbage
My cat has two stainless steel fountains. He has labs drawn periodically because he had FIP, and my vet says his kidney function is excellent compared to most cats.
Jackson please sponsor a good one. Filter housing, pumps, and pump housings are all plastic and get slimy. Even worse when they have lots of parts and hard to reach corners/crevices. My cats always stop drinking from fountains like you pictured after about a year because I canโt get the pump clean enough even taking it apart. ๐ข Iโve never bought all plastic fountains, only ceramic (too heavy and slippery) and stainless steelโค
Thank you cat god
