In this video, Dr. Andrew Jones, DVM, discusses the controversial topic of Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein for pets. This food, which is marketed as a solution for dogs and cats with food allergies, contains hydrolyzed protein designed to be easier on sensitive stomachs. But is it truly the best choice? Dr. Jones examines potential side effects, including digestive issues like vomiting and diarrhea, thyroid concerns, bladder stone complications, blood sugar spikes, and even neurological effects like epilepsy. If youβre questioning whether this protein source is right for your pet, this video provides all the information you need.
